Scattrbrain is the full-band alter ego of Atlanta-based artist GRIP, the acclaimed rapper and songwriter known for his gritty lyricism, sharp social commentary and raw emotional depth. Emerging from Atlanta’s hip-hop underground and once signed to Eminem’s Shady Records, GRIP built a reputation as one of the city’s most introspective emcees before disrupting genre lines entirely with Scattrbrain.
Channeling post-punk, grunge, hardcore and DIY energy through GRIP’s singular perspective as a storyteller, Scattrbrain is loud, cathartic and deliberately difficult to categorize. The project’s debut album, Scattrbrain & The Unwavering Self Doubt, confronts burnout, identity, addiction, industry disillusionment and self-doubt with distortion, live drums and an uninhibited vocal approach.
Having sold out their first headline home show, they have shared stages with Ecca Vandal, Portugal The Man, and Manchester Orchestra. Scattrbrain brings that same raw energy to a full-band live show built for chaos and catharsis.
